English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers 'A'isha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her): We set out (from Medina) with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. Some of us entered ihram only for the 'Umra, some entered ihram for both Hajj and 'Umra, and some entered ihram only for the Hajj. And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) himself entered ihram only for the Hajj. (Accordingly,) whoever had entered ihram only for the 'Umra became free of ihram (as soon as he performed the tawaf), but whoever had entered ihram for the Hajj, or for both Hajj and 'Umra, did not become free until the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr).
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہہم حجۃ الوداع کے سال رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ (مدینہ سے) نکلے۔ ہم میں سے کچھ لوگوں نے صرف عمرے کا احرام باندھا، کچھ نے حج اور عمرہ دونوں کا احرام باندھا اور کچھ نے صرف حج کا احرام باندھا تھا۔ اور خود رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے صرف حج کا احرام باندھا تھا۔ (چنانچہ) جس نے صرف عمرہ کا احرام باندھا تھا وہ تو (طواف کرتے ہی) حلال ہو گیا لیکن جس نے حج کا یا حج اور عمرہ (دونوں) کا احرام باندھا تھا وہ یوم النحر (قربانی کے دن) تک حلال نہیں ہوئے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 746]
