English Translation
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) appointed Dhul-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. And these miqats are for the people of those lands as well as for those who come to them from other lands intending Hajj or Umrah. Then whoever lives within these miqats, that is, near Makkah, should enter ihram from where he is, until the people of Makkah pronounce the Talbiyah from Makkah itself.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اہل مدینہ کے لئے ذوالحلیفہ کو میقات مقرر فرمایا اور اہل شام کے لئے جحفہ اور اہل نجد کے لئے قرن المنازل اور اہل یمن کے لئے یلملم کو میقات فرمایا۔ اور یہ سب میقاتیں ان لوگوں کے لئے بھی ہیں جو ان ملکوں میں رہتے ہیں اور ان کے لئے بھی جو اور ملکوں سے حج یا عمرہ کی نیت سے وہاں آئیں۔ پھر جو ان میقاتوں کے اندر رہنے والے ہوں یعنی مکہ سے قریب تو وہ وہیں سے احرام باندھیں یہاں تک کہ اہل مکہ، مکہ سے ہی لبیک پکاریں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 651]
