English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him): He (peace be upon him) said, "None of you should single out the night of Friday among all nights for standing (in prayer), nor single out its day (i.e., Friday) among all days for fasting, unless it falls within a fast that he observes regularly (for example, one who fasts on a fixed date, such as the first or last day of every month, and Friday happens to fall on it)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: کوئی شخص جمعہ کی رات کو سب راتوں میں جاگنے اور نماز کے ساتھ خاص کرے اور نہ اس کے دن (یعنی جمعہ) کو سب دنوں میں سے روزے کے لئے خاص کرے مگر یہ کہ وہ ہمیشہ (کسی خاص تاریخ میں مثلاً ہر ماہ کی پہلی یا آخری تاریخ وغیرہ میں) روزہ رکھتا ہو اور اس میں جمعہ آ جائے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 626]
