English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Do not fast one or two days ahead of Ramadan, except for a person who was accustomed to fasting on a (particular) day, and that same day comes — then let him fast on his appointed day." (For example, if he used to fast on Thursday and Friday, and the twenty-ninth and thirtieth of Sha'ban happened to fall on those days, then let him fast.)

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: رمضان سے پیشگی ایک یا دو روزے مت رکھو سوائے اس شخص کے جو ہمیشہ ایک (مقررہ) دن میں روزہ رکھا کرتا تھا اور وہی دن آ گیا تو وہ اپنے مقررہ دن میں روزہ رکھ لے۔ (مثلاً جمعرات اور جمعہ کو روزہ رکھتا تھا اور انتیس اور تیس تاریخ میں شعبان کے وہی دن آ گئے تو وہ روزہ رکھ لے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 573]
