English Translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah bin Rib'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: He is one who has found rest, and by his departure others have found rest. The people said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the meaning of "he himself has found rest and people will have rest from him"? He said: The believer finds rest from the hardships of the world (that is, at the time of death), and by the departure of an evil person, the servants, the cities, the trees and the animals find rest. Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوقتادہ بن ربعی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس سے ایک جنازہ گزرا تو آپ نے فرمایا: خود آرام پانے والا ہے اور اس کے جانے سے اور لوگوں نے آرام پایا۔ لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ خود آرام پانے والا ہے اور لوگوں کو اس سے آرام ہو گا، کا مطلب کیا ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ مومن دنیا کی تکلیفوں سے آرام پاتا ہے (یعنی موت کے وقت) اور بد آدمی کے جانے سے بندے، شہر، درخت اور جانور آرام پاتے ہیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 466]
