English Translation
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood for the night prayer, he would say: "O Allah, all praise is Yours. You are the light of the heavens and the earth. And Yours is the praise; You are the sustainer of the heavens and the earth. And Yours is the praise; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. You are the Truth, Your promise is true, Your word is true, meeting You is true, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Hour is true. O Allah, I submit to You, I believe in You, I rely upon You, I turn to You, I dispute with others by Your aid, and I seek Your judgment. So forgive me my former and my latter sins, my hidden and my open ones. O Allah, You are my God; there is no god but You." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 381]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب رات کو نماز کے لئے کھڑے ہوتے تو فرماتے کہ”اے اللہ سب خوبیاں تیرے ہی لئے ہیں۔ تو آسمان اور زمین کی روشنی ہے اور تجھی کو تعریف ہے، تو آسمان اور زمین کا تھامنے والا ہے۔ تجھی کو تعریف ہے، تو آسمان و زمین اور جو ان میں ہیں سب کا پالنے والا ہے، تو سچا ہے، تیرا وعدہ سچا ہے تیری بات سچی ہے، تیری ملاقات سچی ہے، جنت سچ ہے، دوزخ سچ ہے قیامت سچ ہے۔ یا اللہ میں تیری بات مانتا ہوں، تجھ پر ایمان لاتا ہوں، تجھ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں، تیری طرف جھکتا ہوں، تیرے ساتھ ہو کر اوروں سے جھگڑتا ہوں، اور تجھ ہی سے فیصلہ چاہتا ہوں۔ سو تو میرے اگلے پچھلے، چھپے کھلے گناہوں کو بخش دے یا اللہ تو ہی میرا معبود ہے تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 381]
