English Translation
The Mother of the Believers, Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "There is no Muslim servant who prays for the sake of Allah twelve rak'ahs of voluntary prayer every day, apart from the obligatory ones, but Allah builds for him a house in Paradise" — or he said, "a house is built for him in Paradise." The Mother of the Believers, Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), said, "Since that day I have always prayed them." Amr (i.e., Ibn Aws) said, "I too have always prayed them since that day," and Nu'man (i.e., Ibn Salim) said likewise. And in one narration: "Twelve rak'ahs in a day and a night." Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نےنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ کوئی مسلمان بندہ ایسا نہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے واسطے ہر دن میں بارہ رکعت سنتیں خوشی سے پڑھے سوا فرض کے۔ مگر اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے واسطے ایک گھر جنت میں بناتا ہے یا یہ فرمایا کہ اس کے لئے ایک گھر جنت میں بنایا جاتا ہے۔ ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ میں اس دن سے ہمیشہ پڑھتی ہوں اور عمرو (یعنی ابن اوس) نے کہا کہ میں بھی اس دن سے ہمیشہ پڑھتا ہوں اور نعمان (یعنی ابن سالم) نے بھی ایسا ہی کہا۔ اور ایک روایت میں ہے کہ”ایک دن اور رات میں بارہ رکعت“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 370]
