English Translation
Narrated Abdullah bin Harith bin Nawfal: I used to long to know, and would go about asking, if anyone could tell me whether the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had prayed the Duha prayer, but I found no one to tell me this except Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her). Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her), who is the daughter of Abu Talib, informed me that on the day of the conquest of Makkah the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came when the day had risen high. A cloth screen was put up for him, and he performed a bath. Then he stood up and prayed eight rak'ahs. I did not know whether his standing was longer, or his bowing, or his prostration — (nearly) all were equal. And I never saw him pray the Duha before or after this. Urdu Translation
عبداللہ بن حارث بن نوفل کہتے ہیں کہمیں آرزو رکھتا اور پوچھتا پھرتا تھا کہ کوئی مجھے بتائے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے چاشت کی نماز پڑھی ہے تو میں نے کسی کو نہ پایا جو کہ مجھ سے یہ بیان کرے سوائے ام ہانی رضی اللہ عنہا کے۔ ام ہانی رضی اللہ عنہا جو ابوطالب کی بیٹی ہیں انہوں نے خبر دی کہ فتح مکہ کے دن رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمدن چڑھے آئے۔ کپڑے کا ایک پردہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے لئے ڈال دیا گیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے غسل فرمایا۔ پھر کھڑے ہو کر آٹھ رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ میں نہیں جانتی تھی کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا قیام لمبا تھا یا رکوع یا سجدہ، (تقریباً) سب برابر برابر تھے۔ اور میں نے اس سے پہلے اور بعد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو چاشت پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 366]
