Narrated bythe Mother of the Believers, Aishah as-Siddiqah
English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers, Aishah as-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) pray the Duha (forenoon) prayer, though I used to pray it. And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to like certain acts, but would not do them for fear that if people began to do them, they might become obligatory. ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو کبھی چاشت کی نماز پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا۔ اور میں پڑھا کرتی ہوں۔ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبعض کام پسند کرتے تھے مگر اس خوف سے نہ کرتے تھے کہ اگر لوگ کرنے لگیں گے تو کہیں فرض نہ ہو جائے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 363]
