English Translation
Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): He saw Abdullah bin Harith praying with his hair tied up in a bun, so Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) began to untie his bun. When he finished the prayer, he asked, "Why did you touch my head?" Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'The likeness of one who prays with his hair tied up in a bun is like one who prays with his hands bound behind his back.'" Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہانہوں نے سیدنا عبداللہ بن حارث کو دیکھا کہ وہ جوڑا باندھے ہوئے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما ان کے جوڑے کھولنے لگے۔ جب وہ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو پوچھا کہ تم نے میرا سر کیوں چھوا؟ سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ جو شخص بالوں کا جوڑا باندھ کر نماز پڑھے اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے کوئی ستر کھول کر نماز پڑھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 349]
