English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came into the mosque, and meanwhile a man came, and after praying he greeted the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). So he (peace be upon him), returning the greeting, said, "Go and pray, for you have not prayed." He went back and prayed again as before, and returned and greeted the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He (peace be upon him) said, "Wa alaikum as-salam," and said, "Go and pray, for you have not performed the prayer." This happened three times, so the man said to him (peace be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! By the One who made you the true Messenger, I do not know any way other than this, so please instruct me yourself (peace be upon him)." So he (peace be upon him) said, "When you stand for the prayer, first say 'Allahu Akbar,' then recite as much of the Quran as you can easily recite. After that, bow with tranquility, then stand up completely straight with calm. After that, prostrate with tranquility, then sit with tranquility in the sitting, and do likewise throughout your whole prayer." (From this hadith it is understood that composure in the pillars of the prayer is very necessary; without it the prayer is not valid. And according to the majority of scholars, composure in the pillars is obligatory.)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممسجد میں تشریف لائے کہ اتنے میں ایک آدمی آیا، اس نے نماز پڑھنے کے بعد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو سلام کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے سلام کا جواب دیتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ جاؤ نماز پڑھو، تم نے نماز نہیں پڑھی۔ اس نے واپس ہو کر پہلے کی طرح پھر نماز پڑھی اور لوٹ کر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو سلام کیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وعلیکم السلام کہتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ جاؤ نماز پڑھو تم نے نماز ادا نہیں کی۔ حتیٰ کہ تین دفعہ ایسے ہی کیا تو آدمی نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو رسول برحق بنایا ہے کہ میں اس طریقہ کے علاوہ مزید کسی چیز سے ناواقف ہوں، براہ کرم آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہی مجھے بتا دیجئیے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ارشاد فرمایا:”جب تم نماز کے لئے کھڑے ہو تو پہلے اللہ اکبر کہو اور پھر جتنا قرآن تم بآسانی پڑھ سکتے ہو وہ پڑھو، اس کے بعد اطمینان سے رکوع کرو اور پھر باآرام بالکل سیدھے کھڑے ہو جاؤ، اس کے بعد بااطمینان سجدہ کرو اور پھر بااطمینان قعدہ میں بیٹھو اور اسی طرح اپنی پوری نماز میں کیا کرو۔ (اس حدیث سے یہ چیز معلوم ہوئی کہ نماز میں تعدیل ارکان بہت ضروری ہے، اس کے بغیر نماز نہیں ہوتی۔ اور جمہور علماء کے نزدیک تعدیل ارکان فرض ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 282]
