English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers Aishah the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her): Umm Habibah and Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them) mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) a church which they had seen in Abyssinia, in which there were images. He (peace be upon him) said, "Those were people such that when a righteous man among them died, they would build a mosque over his grave and make images there. Those people will be the worst of all before Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہسیدہ ام حبیبہ اور ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ایک گرجا کا ذکر کیا جس کو انہوں نے حبشہ میں دیکھا تھا، اس میں تصویریں لگی ہوئی تھیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ان لوگوں کا یہی حال تھا کہ جب ان میں کوئی نیک آدمی مر جاتا تو وہ اس کی قبر پر مسجد بناتے اور وہاں صورتیں بناتے۔ یہ لوگ قیامت کے دن اللہ کے سامنے سب سے بدتر ہوں گے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 256]
