English Translation
Narrated Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him): We came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and complained to him about the (scorching) intense heat, but he did not accept it. Zuhayr said: I asked Abu Ishaq: "Was the complaint about the Zuhr prayer?" He said: "Yes." I said: "About praying it early in its time?" He said: "Yes." (That is, they had requested some delay, which the Prophet, peace be upon him, did not grant at first, and later permitted, as is in the next hadith.)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا خباب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی خدمت میں آئے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے (جھلسا دینے والی) سخت گرمی کی، شکایت کی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قبول نہ فرمائی۔ زہیر نے کہا کہ میں نے ابواسحاق سے پوچھا کہ ظہر کی نماز کی شکایت کی تھی؟ انہوں نے کہا ہاں میں نے کہا کہ اول وقت نماز ادا کرنے کی؟ انہوں نے کہا ہاں۔ (یعنی کچھ تاخیر کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا تھا جو کہ ابتداء میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قبول نہ فرمایا اور بعد میں اس کی اجازت دے دی، جیسے اگلی حدیث میں ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 211]
