English Translation
Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The likeness of the one who memorizes the Qur'an is that of a hobbled camel: if its owner keeps watch over it, it remains (with him), and if he lets it go, it goes off (somewhere)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ارشاد فرمایا کہ قرآن یاد کرنے والے کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک پیر بندھے ہوئے اونٹ کی کہ اگر اس کے مالک نے اس کا خیال رکھا تو (اونٹ موجود) رہا اور اگر چھوڑ دیا تو (اونٹ بھی کہیں) چل دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2109]
