English Translation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, the people of Paradise will see those in the upper dwellings as you see a shining star far off on the horizon of the sky, in the east or the west. This is because of the difference in ranks among them." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are these the ranks of the prophets, which no one else will attain?" He (peace be upon him) said, "On the contrary! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, in these ranks will be people who believed in Allah and held the messengers to be truthful (that is, the rank of the prophets will be far higher than this)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: بیشک جنت کے لوگ اوپر کی منزل والوں کو ایسے دیکھیں گے جیسے ستارے کو دیکھتے ہیں جو چمکتا ہوا ہو۔ اور دور آسمان کے کنارے پر مشرق میں یا مغرب میں ہو۔ یہ اس وجہ سے ہے کہ ان میں درجوں کا فرق ہو گا لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ درجے تو پیغمبروں کے ہوں گے اور کسی کو نہیں ملیں گے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ کیوں نہیں قسم اس کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، ان درجوں میں وہ لوگ ہوں گے جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے پیغمبروں کو سچا جانا (یعنی پیغمبروں کا درجہ اس سے کہیں زیادہ ہو گا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1961]
