English Translation
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "The supplication of a servant is always answered, as long as he does not supplicate for sin or for severing ties of kinship, and as long as he is not hasty." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by haste?" He (peace be upon him) said: "That he says, 'I supplicated and supplicated, but I do not see it being answered,' and then he becomes despairing and abandons supplication." (This displeases the Master, and then He does not answer. The servant should always have hope of his Master's grace and favor, and if the supplication is not answered in this world, he will receive its reward in the Hereafter.)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: بندے کی دعا ہمیشہ قبول ہوتی ہے، جب تک وہ گناہ یا ناطہٰ توڑنے کی دعا نہ کرے اور جلدی نہ کرے۔ لوگوں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! جلدی کے کیا معنی ہیں؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ یوں کہے کہ میں نے دعا کی، اور دعا کی میں نہیں سمجھتا کہ وہ قبول ہو، پھر ناامید ہو جائے اور دعا چھوڑ دے۔ (یہ مالک کو ناگوار گزرتا ہے پھر وہ قبول نہیں کرتا۔ بندے کو چاہئے کہ اپنے مالک سے ہمیشہ فضل و کرم کی امید رکھے اور اگر دنیا میں دعا قبول نہ ہو گی تو آخرت میں اس کا صلہ ملے گا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1877]
