English Translation
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah said to me: O Jarir! Will you not give me rest from Dhu al-Khalasa? And Dhu al-Khalasa was an idol-house of (the tribe of) Khath'am, which they also called the Yemeni Kaaba. Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went there with one hundred and fifty horsemen, and I could not sit firm on a horse, so I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He (peace be upon him) struck his hand upon my chest and said: O Allah, make him firm, and make him a guide, rightly guided. Then Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) went and burned Dhu al-Khalasa with fire. After that he dispatched a man named Abu Artat to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with the good news. He came to him (peace be upon him) and said: We left Dhu al-Khalasa like a mangy camel (a mangy camel is smeared with black tar; the meaning is that it too was burned black). The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) supplicated for blessing five times for the horses and men of (the tribe of) Ahmas.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمجھ سے رسول اللہ نے فرمایا کہ اے جریر! تو مجھے ذوالخلصہ سے آرام نہیں دیتا؟ اور ذوالخلصہ (قبیلہ) خثعم کا ایک بت خانہ تھا اس کو کعبہ یمانی بھی کہتے تھے۔ سیدنا جریر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں ڈیڑھ سو سوار لے کر وہاں گیا اور میں گھوڑے پر نہیں جمتا تھا تو میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے یہ بیان کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنا ہاتھ میرے سینے پر مارا اور فرمایا کہ اے اللہ اس کو جما دے اور اس کو راہ دکھانے والا، راہ پایا ہوا کر دے۔ پھر سیدنا جریر رضی اللہ عنہ گئے اور ذوالخلصہ کو آگ سے جلا دیا۔ اس کے بعد ایک شخص جس کا نام ابوارطاۃ تھا خوشخبری کے لئے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس روانہ کیا۔ وہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ ہم ذوالخلصہ کو خارشی اونٹ کی طرح چھوڑ کر آئے (خارشی اونٹ پر کالا روغن ملتے ہیں مطلب یہ ہے کہ وہ بھی جل کر کالا ہو گیا تھا)۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (قبیلہ) احمس کے گھوڑوں اور مردوں کے لئے پانچ مرتبہ برکت کی دعا کی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1718]
