English Translation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, while he (peace be upon him) was upon the pulpit: If you criticize his leadership (meaning Sayyiduna Usama bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him)), then indeed you criticized the leadership of his father (Zayd) before him. And by Allah, his father was worthy of leadership, and he was the most beloved of all people to me. And by Allah, this one (that is, Usama) too is worthy of leadership, and by Allah, now Usama is, after him, the most beloved of all people to me. Therefore I enjoin upon you to treat Usama well, for he is among the righteous ones among you.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماس وقت منبر پر تھے کہ اگر تم اس کی امارت میں طعن کرتے ہو (اس سے مراد سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ تھے) تو بیشک تم نے اس سے پہلے اس کے باپ (زید) کی امارت میں بھی طعن کیا تھا اور اللہ کی قسم! اس کا باپ سرداری کے لائق تھا اور سب لوگوں میں وہ میرا زیادہ پیارا تھا۔ اور اللہ کی قسم یہ (یعنی اسامہ) بھی سرداری کے لائق ہے اور اللہ کی قسم! اب اسامہ اس کے بعد سب لوگوں میں مجھے زیادہ پیارا ہے۔ لہٰذا میں تمہیں وصیت کرتا ہوں کہ اسامہ کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرنا (کیوں) کہ وہ تم میں نیک بخت لوگوں میں سے ایک ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1681]
