English Translation
Narrated Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him): On the day of the Trench, I and Umar bin Abi Salamah were with the women in the fortress of Hassan bin Thabit. Sometimes he would bend down for me and I would look out, and sometimes I would bend down for him and he would look out. I recognized my father when he set out on horseback, armed, towards Banu Qurayzah. Then I mentioned this to my father, and he said, "My son, did you see me?" I said, "Yes." He said, "By Allah, that day the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) combined his father and mother for me and said, 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you.'" Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں اور عمر بن ابی سلمہ خندق کے دن عورتوں کے ساتھ حسان بن ثابت کے قلعہ میں تھے تو کبھی وہ میرے لئے جھک جاتا اور میں دیکھتا اور کبھی میں اس کے لئے جھک جاتا اور وہ دیکھتا۔ میں نے اپنے باپ کو اس وقت پہچان لیا جب وہ گھوڑے پر ہتھیار باندھے ہوئے بنی قریظہ کی طرف نکلے۔ پھر میں نے اپنے والد سے اس کا ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ بیٹا تم نے مجھے دیکھا تھا؟ میں نے کہا کہ ہاں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم اس دن رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے میرے لئے اپنے ماں باپ کو جمع کر دیا اور فرمایا کہ تجھ پر میرے ماں باپ قربان ہوں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1644]
