English Translation
Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "The greatest offender among the Muslims is the Muslim who asked about something that was not forbidden to the Muslims, but became forbidden because of his asking." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1599]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: مسلمانوں میں سے سب سے بڑا قصور اس مسلمان کا ہے جس نے وہ بات پوچھی جو مسلمانوں پر حرام نہ تھی، لیکن اس کے پوچھنے کی وجہ سے حرام ہو گئی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1599]
