English Translation
Narrated Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him): He said, "Indeed, when Allah the Mighty and Majestic shows mercy to a nation, He takes its prophet away before the nation's destruction, and He makes him its forerunner (in death). And when He wills the destruction of a nation, He punishes it while its prophet is present, and He cools the prophet's eye by their destruction, because that nation was one that rejected him and disobeyed his commands." Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: بیشک اللہ عزوجل جب کسی امت پر رحم کرتا ہے تو اس کا نبی امت کی ہلاکت سے پہلے فوت ہو جاتا ہے اور وہ اپنی امت کا پیش خیمہ ہوتا ہے۔ اور جب کسی امت کی تباہی چاہتا ہے تو اس کو نبی کے سامنے ہلاک کرتا ہے اور ان کی ہلاکت سے نبی کی آنکھ کو ٹھنڈا کر دیتا ہے کیونکہ وہ (امت) اس کو جھٹلانے والی اور اس کے احکام کی نافرمانی کرنے والی ہوتی ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1596]
