English Translation
The Mother of the Believers, A'ishah the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her), says: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) permitted a concession in some matter. When he (peace be upon him) came to know (that some avoided it), he stood up to deliver a sermon and said, "What is the condition of people that they abstain from that in which I have been given a concession? By Allah, I am the one who knows Allah the Exalted most of all and fears Allah the Exalted most of all (so follow me and walk on my path; this is piety and God-consciousness, and to lay burdens on the self without benefit and to abstain from a lawful matter is to doubt its lawfulness)."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک کام میں رخصت روا رکھی۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو معلوم ہوا تو خطبہ پڑھنے کو کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا کہ لوگوں کا کیا حال ہے کہ جس کام میں مجھے رخصت دی گئی ہے اس سے احتراز کرتے ہیں؟ اللہ کی قسم میں تو سب سے زیادہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو جانتا ہوں اور سب سے زیادہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتا ہوں (تو میری پیروی کرنا اور میری راہ پر چلنا، یہی تقویٰ اور پرہیزگاری ہے اور بےفائدہ نفس پر بار ڈالنا اور جائز کام سے بچنا اس کے جائز ہونے میں شک کرنا ہے)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1545]
