English Translation
Narrated Ishaq bin Abi Talhah: Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) (who was the grandmother of the narrator of the hadith, Ishaq bin Abi Talhah) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and Umm al-Mu'minin Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) was also sitting there. She said: "O Messenger of Allah! If a woman sees in her sleep what a man sees (that is, semen), what is the ruling?" Hearing this, Umm al-Mu'minin Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Umm Sulaym! You have disgraced the women (because a wet dream occurs only to a very passionate woman and her semen too will be discharged). May your hand be smeared with dust!" (and this she said as a good remark). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O Aishah! May your hand be smeared with dust," and he said to Umm Sulaym: "O Umm Sulaym! When a woman sees this, in that case let her bathe."
Urdu Translation
اسحاق بن ابی طلحہ سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہسیدہ ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا (اور وہ راوی حدیث اسحاق بن ابی طلحہ کی دادی تھیں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئیں اور وہاں ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا بھی بیٹھی تھیں، انہوں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! عورت اگر سوتے میں ایسا دیکھے، جیسا کہ مرد دیکھتا ہے (یعنی منی کو تو کیا حکم ہے)؟ یہ سن کر ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اے ام سلیم! تو نے عورتوں کو رسوا کر دیا (اس وجہ سے کہ احتلام اسی عورت کو ہو گا جو بہت پرشہوت ہو اور منی بھی اسی کی نکلے گی) تیرے ہاتھ میں مٹی لگے (اور یہ انہوں نے نیک بات کہی) آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اے عائشہ! تیرے ہاتھ میں مٹی لگے اور ام سلیم سے فرمایا کہ اے ام سلیم! جب عورت ایسا دیکھے تو اس صورت میں غسل کرے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 154]
