English Translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "My likeness and the likeness of the other prophets who came before me is like a man who built a house and beautified and adorned it, but in one of its corners he left the place of a single brick. So people began going around it and admiring the building, and they said, 'Why did you not place a brick here?'" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I am that brick, and I am the Seal of the Prophets."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میری اور دوسرے پیغمبروں کی مثال جو کہ میرے سے پہلے ہو چکے ہیں، ایسی ہے جیسے کسی شخص نے گھر بنایا اور اس کی زیبائش اور آرائش کی، لیکن اس کے کونوں میں سے ایک کونے میں ایک اینٹ کی جگہ چھوڑ دی پس لوگ اس کے گرد پھرنے لگے اور انہیں وہ عمارت پسند آئی اور وہ کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو نے ایک اینٹ یہاں کیوں نہ رکھ دی گئی؟ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ میں وہ اینٹ ہوں اور میں خاتم الانبیاء ہوں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1527]
