English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "When the Hour draws near, the dream of a Muslim will hardly be false, and the truest in dream among you will be the one who is truest in speech, and the dream of a Muslim is one of the forty-five parts of prophethood. And dreams are of three kinds: one is the good dream which is glad tidings from Allah the Exalted; the second is the distressing dream which is from Satan; and the third is the dream that is one's own thought of the heart. So when any of you sees a bad dream, let him stand and pray and not relate it to people. And I regard the seeing of fetters in a dream as good and the seeing of a collar (yoke) around the neck as bad." The narrator (Ayyub) said: I do not know whether this speech is part of the hadith or the words of Ibn Sirin.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جب قیامت قریب آ جائے گی تو مسلمان کا خواب جھوٹ نہ ہو گا اور تم میں سے سچا خواب اسی کا ہو گا جو باتوں میں سچا ہے اور مسلمان کا خواب نبوت کے پینتالیس حصوں میں سے ایک حصہ ہے۔ اور خواب تین طرح کا ہے، ایک تو نیک خواب جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے خوشخبری ہو اور دوسرے رنج کا خواب جو شیطان کی طرف سے ہے اور تیسرے وہ خواب جو اپنے دل کا خیال ہو۔ پھر جب تم میں سے کوئی برا خواب دیکھے تو کھڑا ہو کر نماز پڑھے اور لوگوں سے بیان نہ کرے۔ اور میں خواب میں بیڑیاں پڑی دیکھنا اچھا سمجھتا ہوں اور گلے میں طوق برا سمجھتا ہوں۔ راوی (ایوب) نے کہا کہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ یہ کلام حدیث میں داخل ہے یا ابن سیرین کا کلام ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1520]
