English Translation
Abu Ubayd, the freed slave of Ibn Azhar, narrated that he prayed the Eid prayer with Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Then he prayed Eid with Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), who led the prayer before the sermon. Then Ali addressed the people and said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has forbidden you from eating the meat of your sacrifices beyond three days."
Urdu Translation
ابوعبید مولیٰ ابن ازہر سے روایت ہے کہانہوں نے عید کی نماز سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ پڑھی۔ کہتے ہیں کہ پھر میں نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ بن ابی طالب کے ساتھ نماز (عید) پڑھی، انہوں نے خطبہ سے پہلے نماز پڑھائی۔ پھر لوگوں کو خطبہ سنایا اور کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قربانیوں کا گوشت تین دن سے زیادہ کھانے سے منع فرمایا ہے تو (تین دن کے بعد) مت کھاؤ (بلکہ تین دن تک کھاؤ اور خیرات بھی کرو)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1258]
