English Translation
It is narrated from Abu Ishaq: Abdullah ibn Yazid went out for the prayer for rain (istisqa) and prayed two rak'ahs with the people, then supplicated for water. He says: That day I met Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), and between me and him there was only one man. I asked him, "How many expeditions did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) undertake?" He said, "Nineteen." I asked, "In how many expeditions were you present with the Prophet (peace be upon him)?" He said, "In seventeen." I said, "Which was the first expedition?" He said, "Dhat al-Usayr" or "Dhat al-Ushayr" (which is the name of a place; in the Sirah of Ibn Hisham it is written as the expedition of al-Ushayrah; no fighting took place in it, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went as far as Ushayrah and returned to Medina; this event occurred in 2 AH; and Ibn Hisham said that the first expedition was the expedition of Waddan at the end of the first year after coming to Medina, in which too there was no fighting).
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابواسحٰق سے روایت ہے کہعبداللہ بن یزید نماز استسقاء کے لئے نکلے اور لوگوں کے ساتھ دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر پانی کے لئے دعا مانگی۔ کہتے ہیں کہ اس دن میں سیدنا زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملا اور میرے اور ان کے درمیان صرف ایک شخص تھا۔ میں نے ان سے پوچھا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کتنے جہاد کئے ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ انیس۔ میں نے پوچھا کہ آپ کتنے غزوات میں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ شریک تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ سترہ میں۔ میں نے کہا کہ پہلا جہاد کون سا تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ذات العسیر یا ذات العشیر (جو ایک مقام کا نام ہے۔ سیرۃ ابن ہشام میں اس کو غزوۃ العشیرہ لکھا ہے اس میں لڑائی نہ ہوئی اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمعشیرہ تک جا کر مدینہ کو پلٹ آئے یہ واقعہ 2 ہجری میں ہوا اور ابن ہشام نے کہا کہ سب سے پہلے غزوہ ودان ہوا مدینہ میں آنے کے ایک سال کے اخیر پر اس میں بھی لڑائی نہیں ہوئی)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1193]
