English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Muhajirun came empty-handed from Mecca the Honored to Medina the Radiant, while the Ansar had land and trees (that is, both fields and orchards). So the Ansar shared their property with the Muhajirun in such a way that they would give them half the fruit each year, and they would do the work and labor. The mother of Anas ibn Malik, whose name was Umm Sulaym and who was also the mother of Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah (who was Anas's maternal brother), gave the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) one of her date palms, so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave that tree to his freed slave-woman Umm Ayman, who was the mother of Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him). (From this it is known that Umm Sulaym gave that tree to him (peace be upon him) as a gift, for had she given it only for eating the fruit, how could he (peace be upon him) have given it to Umm Ayman?) Ibn Shihab said: Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) informed me that then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) returned to Medina after finishing the battle of Khaybar, the Muhajirun returned to the Ansar the things they had given them, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) also returned to my mother her orchard and gave Umm Ayman in its place from his own orchard. Ibn Shihab said: Umm Ayman, who was the mother of Usamah ibn Zayd, was the slave-woman of Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib (who was the father of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)), and she was from Abyssinia. When Aminah gave birth to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) after the death of his (peace be upon him) father, she nursed him (peace be upon him). When he (peace be upon him) grew up, he freed her, then gave her in marriage to Zayd ibn Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him), and she died five months after the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمہاجرین مکہ معظمہ سے مدینہ طیبہ کو خالی ہاتھ آئے تھے اور انصار کے پاس زمین تھی اور درخت تھے (یعنی کھیت بھی تھے اور باغ بھی)، تو انصار نے مہاجرین کو اپنا مال اس طور سے بانٹ دیا کہ آدھا میوہ ہر سال ان کو دیتے اور وہ کام اور محنت کرتے۔ سیدنا انس بن مالک کی والدہ جن کا نام ام سلیم تھا اور وہ عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ کی ماں بھی تھیں جو سیدنا انس کے مادری بھائی تھے، انہوں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنا کھجور کا ایک درخت دیا تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وہ درخت اپنی آزاد کردہ باندی ام ایمن کو دے دیا جو کہ اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ کی والدہ تھیں۔ (اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ ام سلیم نے وہ درخت آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ہبہ کے طور پر دیا تھا اور وہ صرف میوہ کھانے کو دیتیں تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمام ایمن کو کس طرح دیتے) ابن شہاب نے کہا کہ مجھے سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ پھر جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخیبر کی لڑائی سے فارغ ہو کر مدینہ لوٹے، تو مہاجرین نے انصار کو ان کی دی ہوئی چیزیں بھی لوٹا دیں اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بھی میری ماں کو ان کا باغیچہ لوٹا دیا۔ اور ام ایمن کو اس کی جگہ اپنے باغ سے دے دیا ابن شہاب نے کہا کہ ام ایمن جو اسامہ بن زید کی والدہ تھیں وہ عبداللہ بن عبدالمطلب کی (جو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے والد تھے) لونڈی تھیں اور وہ حبشہ کی تھیں۔ جب آمنہ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے والد کی وفات کے بعد جنا، تو وہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی پرورش کرتی تھیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بڑے ہو کر ان کو آزاد کر دیا پھر ان کا نکاح زید بن حارثہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پڑھا دیا اور وہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی وفات کے پانچ مہینے بعد فوت ہو گئیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1181]
