English Translation

Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would sometimes give some of the members of an army more than all the rest of the armies, and upon all these spoils the fifth (khums) was obligatory. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1140]
