English Translation

Narrated Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) rubbing the forelock hair of a horse with his fingers and saying: "Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection" — that is, reward and spoils of war (the good of both this world and the Hereafter).
