English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O Abu Sa'id! Whoever is pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Prophet, Paradise is guaranteed for him." Hearing this, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) was amazed and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Say more." He (peace be upon him) repeated it, and then said: "There is another deed by which a servant is raised a hundred ranks in Paradise, and between each rank and the next is a distance like that between heaven and earth." Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "What deed is that?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Fighting in the way of Allah the Exalted, fighting in the way of Allah." Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اے ابوسعید! جو اللہ کے رب ہونے سے اور اسلام کے دین ہونے سے اور محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کے نبی ہونے سے راضی ہوا، اس کے لئے جنت واجب ہے یہ سن کر سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے تعجب کیا اور کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! پھر فرمائیے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے پھر فرمایا اور فرمایا کہ ایک اور عمل ہے جس کی وجہ سے بندے کو جنت میں سو درجے ملیں گے اور ہر ایک درجہ سے دوسرے درجہ تک اتنا فاصلہ ہو گا جتنا آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان ہے۔ سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ وہ کون سا عمل ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا، اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1071]
