English Translation
Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Whoever keeps a found item without announcing it is astray. (From this it is understood that identifying and announcing a found item is necessary.)" [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1062]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا زید بن خالد جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جس نے گری پڑی چیز مشہوری کئے بغیر رکھ لی، وہ گمراہ ہے۔ (اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ گری پڑی چیز کی پہنچان کرانا اور بتلانا ضروری ہے)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1062]
