English Translation
It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) heard the noise of disputants at the door of his chamber, so he came out and said: "I am but a human being, and litigants come to me. It may be that one of them speaks more eloquently than the other, so that I think he is truthful and rule in his favor. So whoever I award the right of a Muslim to, it is a piece of ember; let him take it or leave it." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1051]
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے جھگڑنے والے کا شور اپنے حجرے کے دروازے پر سنا، تو باہر نکلے اور فرمایا کہ میں بشر (انسان) ہوں اور میرے پاس کوئی مقدمہ والا آتا ہے اور ممکن ہے کہ ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے بہتر بات کرتا ہو، اور میں سمجھوں کہ یہ سچا ہے اور اس کے موافق فیصلہ کر دوں تو جس کو میں کسی مسلمان کا حق دلا دوں وہ انگارے کا ایک ٹکڑا ہے، وہ چاہے اس کو لے لے یا چھوڑ دے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1051]
