وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، - يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ - حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ صَبَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلاَثَ حَفَنَاتٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ . فَقَالَ لَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّ شَعْرِي كَثِيرٌ . قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي كَانَ شَعْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعْرِكَ وَأَطْيَبَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir bin Hadrat 'Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) reported that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took a bath because of sexual intercourse, he poured three handfuls of water upon his head. Hasan bin Muhammad said to him (the narrator): My hair is thick. Upon this Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) observed: I said to him: O son of my brother, the hair of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was thicker than your hair and these were more fine (than yours).
Urdu Translation
امام جعفر رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ کے والد امام محمد باقر بن علی بن حسین رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے حضرت جابر بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب غسلِ جنابت کرتے تو سر پر پانی کی تین لپیں ڈالتے، چنانچہ حسن بن محمد نے ان سے کہا: میرے بال تو زیادہ ہیں۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: تو میں نے اس سے کہا: اے بھتیجے! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بال تمہارے بالوں سے زیادہ اور عمدہ تھے۔
