Arabic (Original)
وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، بْنُ يَحْيَى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالَ قُلْتُ لِمَالِكٍ حَدَّثَكَ نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، لاَعَنَ امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَفَرَّقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَهُمَا وَأَلْحَقَ الْوَلَدَ بِأُمِّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) reported that a man invoked the curse (li'an) against his wife during the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then effected separation between them and attached the lineage of the child to the mother.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک مرد نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں اپنی بیوی سے لعان کیا، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان دونوں کے درمیان جدائی فرما دی اور بچے کا نسب ماں سے ملحق کر دیا۔
