حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ، أَعْتَقَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مِائَةَ رَقَبَةٍ وَحَمَلَ عَلَى مِائَةِ بَعِيرٍ ثُمَّ أَعْتَقَ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ مِائَةَ رَقَبَةٍ وَحَمَلَ عَلَى مِائَةِ بَعِيرٍ ثُمَّ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِمْ .
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated from Hisham with the preceding chain that Hadrat Hakim ibn Hizam (may Allah be well pleased with him) had freed a hundred slaves and donated a hundred camels as riding mounts (for the needy) during the Age of Ignorance. Then after accepting Islam, he again freed a hundred slaves and donated a hundred camels as riding mounts. He then came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)... and the rest of the hadith is the same as narrated above.
Urdu Translation
عبد اللہ بن نمیر نے ہشام سے سابقہ سند سے روایت کی کہ حضرت حکیم بن حزام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے دورِ جاہلیت میں سو غلام آزاد کیے تھے اور سو اونٹ سواری کے لیے (مستحقین کو) دیے تھے، پھر اسلام لانے کے بعد (دوبارہ) سو غلام آزاد کیے اور سو اونٹ سواری کے لیے دیے، پھر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے.... آگے مذکورہ بالا حدیث کے مطابق بیان کیا۔
