حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ الْمُثَنَّى - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، - عَنْ يَزِيدَ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ - عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الأَكْوَعِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَحَرَّى مَوْضِعَ مَكَانِ الْمُصْحَفِ يُسَبِّحُ فِيهِ . وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَحَرَّى ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانَ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْقِبْلَةِ قَدْرُ مَمَرِّ الشَّاةِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Hammad ibn Mas'adah narrated from Yazid ibn Abi 'Ubaid, who narrated from Hadrat Salama ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he used to seek to pray at the place in the Mosque of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) where the copies of the Qur'an were kept, and he said that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to seek to pray at that place, and between the pulpit and the qibla wall there was a gap through which a goat could pass.
Urdu Translation
حماد بن مسعدہ نے یزید بن ابی عبید سے اور انہوں نے حضرت سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ وہ کوشش کر کے مسجدِ نبوی شریف میں اس جگہ نفلی نماز پڑھتے جہاں مصحف رکھا ہوا تھا اور انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اسی جگہ نماز پڑھنے کی کوشش فرماتے تھے اور یہاں منبر اور قبلے کی دیوار کے درمیان بکری کے راستے کے برابر فاصلہ تھا۔
