Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ كُنَّا نُهِينَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ أَنْ نَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَىْءٍ . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
English Translation
It is narrated on the authority of Thabit that Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: We were forbidden in the Holy Qur'an that we should ask about anything from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and then Hadrat Anas reported the hadith in similar words.
Urdu Translation
بہزنے کہا : ہمیں سلیمان بن مغیرہ نے ثابت سے حدیث سنائی اور انہوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہون نےکہا : ہمیں قرآن مجید میں اس بات سے منع کر دیا گیا کہ ( بلاضرورت ) کسی چیز کے بارے میں آپ سے سوال کریں .... اس کے بعد ( بہزنے ) اسی کی مانند حدیث بیان کی ۔
