Arabic (Original)
وَعَن أبي ذرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِبَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أَلَا إِنَّ مِثْلَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فِيكُمْ مِثْلُ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ مَنْ رَكِبَهَا نَجَا وَمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا هلك». رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
English Translation
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The earth has not borne nor has the sky shaded a more truthful person than Abu Dharr. He resembles the asceticism of 'Isa ibn Maryam." 'Umar ibn al-Khattab said: "O Messenger of Allah, do we acknowledge this about him?" He said: "Yes, so acknowledge it." Its chain is weak, reported by Tirmidhi.
Urdu Translation
ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا: اس حال میں کہ وہ کعبہ کے دروازے کو پکڑے ہوئے تھے، میں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا:”سن لو! تم میں میرے اہل بیت کی مثال کشتی نوح کی طرح ہے، جو اس میں سوار ہو گیا وہ نجات پا گیا اور جو اس سے رہ گیا وہ ہلاک ہو گیا۔“اسنادہ ضعیف، رواہ احمد فی فضائل الصحابۃ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6183]
