Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَلَا إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا مَلْعُونَةٌ مَلْعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا إِلا ذكرُ الله وَمَا وَالَاهُ وَعَالِمٌ أَوْ مُتَعَلِّمٌ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ
English Translation
Amr ibn Awf reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you, but I fear that the world will be spread out before you as it was spread out before those who came before you, and you will compete for it as they competed for it, and it will distract you as it distracted them." Agreed upon.
Urdu Translation
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”سن لو! دنیا اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے سب ملعون ہیں، ہاں! البتہ اللہ کا ذکر، اللہ کے پسندیدہ اعمال اور عالم و متعلم اس سے مستثنیٰ ہیں۔“اسنادہ حسن، رواہ الترمذی و ابن ماجہ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الرقاق/حدیث: 5176]
