وَعَن واثلةَ بن الأسقَعِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الْعَصَبِيَّةُ؟ قَالَ: «أَنْ تُعِينَ قَوْمَكَ عَلَى الظُّلْمِ»رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
English Translation
Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "If someone whose religion and character please you proposes to you, accept his proposal. If you do not do so, there will be corruption and great mischief on earth."
Urdu Translation
واثلہ بن اسقع رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے عرض کیا، اللہ کے رسول! عصبیت کیا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”یہ کہ تم ناحق اپنی قوم کی معاونت کرو۔“ضعیف جذا، رواہ ابوداؤد۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الآداب/حدیث: 4905]
