Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ أَبِي الْجُهَيْمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الصِّمَّةِ قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ حَتَّى قَامَ إِلَى جِدَارٍ فَحَتَّهُ بِعَصًى كَانَتْ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْجِدَارِ فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَدَّ عَلَيَّ. وَلَمْ أَجِدْ هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةَ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ وَلَا فِي كِتَابِ الْحُمَيْدِيِّ وَلَكِنْ ذَكَرَهُ فِي شَرْحِ السُّنَّةِ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيث حسن
English Translation
Hadrat Abul Juhaim b. al-Harith b. as-Simma said, “I came upon the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when he was passing water and saluted him, but he did not reply till he got up and went to a wall, and after scraping it with a stick which he had, he put his hands on the wall and wiped his face and his forearms; then he replied to my salutation.” I have not found this version in the two Sahihs, or in al-Humaidi’s book; but Baghawi mentioned it in Sharh as-sunna, saying that this is a hasan tradition.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو الجہیم بن حارث بن صمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آیا جب آپ پیشاب فرما رہے تھے، میں نے سلام کیا مگر آپ نے جواب نہ دیا۔ یہاں تک کہ دیوار کے پاس گئے، اپنے ساتھ موجود لاٹھی سے دیوار کو کھرچا، پھر ہاتھ دیوار پر رکھے اور منہ اور بازوؤں پر مسح کیا، پھر میرے سلام کا جواب دیا۔ (بغوی نے شرح السنہ میں ذکر کیا اور فرمایا: یہ حسن حدیث ہے)
