Arabic (Original)
وَعَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ: وَضَّأْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَمَسَحَ أَعْلَى الْخُفِّ وَأَسْفَلَهُ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مَعْلُولٌ وَسَأَلْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ وَمُحَمَّدًا يَعْنَى الْبُخَارِيَّ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَا: لَيْسَ بِصَحِيحٍ. وَكَذَا ضعفه أَبُو دَاوُد
English Translation
Al-Mughira b. Shu'ba said, “I assisted the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to perform ablution on the expedition to Tabuk, and he wiped the top and bottom of the shoe.” Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it. Tirmidhi said, “This is a weak tradition. I asked Abu Zur'a and Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), i.e. Bukhari, about this tradition and they said that it is not sound.” Abu Dawud also declared it to be weak.
Urdu Translation
حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے غزوہ تبوک میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا وضو کرایا، آپ نے موزے کے اوپر اور نیچے دونوں طرف مسح فرمایا۔ (ابو داؤد، ترمذی، ابن ماجہ) ترمذی نے فرمایا: یہ ضعیف حدیث ہے۔ میں نے ابو زرعہ اور محمد یعنی بخاری سے اس حدیث کے بارے میں پوچھا تو دونوں نے فرمایا: صحیح نہیں ہے۔ ابو داؤد نے بھی اسے ضعیف قرار دیا۔
