وَعَن سهلِ بن مُعاذٍ عَن أبيهِ قَالَ: غَزَوْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَضَيَّقَ النَّاسُ الْمُنَازِلَ وَقَطَعُوا الطَّرِيقَ فَبَعَثَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنَادِيًا يُنادي فِي النَّاسِ: «أَنَّ مَنْ ضَيَّقَ مَنْزِلًا أَوْ قَطَعَ طَرِيقًا فَلَا جِهَادَ لَهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl b. Mu'adh reported his father as saying:We went on an expedition with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the people occupied so much space that they encroached on the road,* so God’s Prophet sent a man to announce among the people, “Those who occupy much space or encroach on the road will not be credited with jihad.” * This refers to times when they were encamping. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل بن حضرت معاذ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں: ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ جنگ میں نکلے تو لوگوں نے پڑاؤ میں تنگی پیدا کی اور راستہ روک لیا۔ نبی اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک منادی بھیجا جو لوگوں میں اعلان کرے: جس نے پڑاؤ میں تنگی کی یا راستہ روکا تو اس کا جہاد نہیں۔ (حضرت ابوداؤد)
