Arabic (Original)
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْبَيِّنَةُ عَلَى الْمُدَّعِي وَالْيَمِينُ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
English Translation
‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather reported the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying, “Proof lies on the plaintiff and the oath is to be sworn by the defendant.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: گواہی مدعی پر ہے اور قسم مدعا علیہ پر ہے۔ (ترمذی)
