وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ شَرَابٍ يَشْرَبُونَهُ بِأَرْضِهِمْ مِنَ الذُّرَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْمِزْرُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أوَ مُسْكِرٌ هُوَ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: «كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ إِنَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَهْدًا لِمَنْ يَشْرَبُ الْمُسْكِرَ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ» . قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ: «عَرَقُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ أَوْ عُصَارَةُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir told of a man who came from the Yemen and asked the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about a liquor made from millet called mizr which they drank in their country. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked whether it was intoxicating and when he replied that it was, he said, “Every intoxicant is prohibited. God has made a covenant regarding those who drink intoxicants to give them some tinat al-khabal to drink.” He was asked what that was and replied that it was the sweat of the inhabitants of hell, or the discharge of the inhabitants of hell. Muslim transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص یمن سے آیا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے ان کے علاقے میں جوار سے بنائے جانے والے مشروب کے بارے میں پوچھا جسے مِزر کہتے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پوچھا: کیا یہ نشہ آور ہے؟ اس نے کہا: ہاں۔ ارشاد فرمایا: ہر نشہ آور چیز حرام ہے۔ بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ کا عہد ہے کہ جو نشہ آور پیے اسے طینۃ الخبال پلائے۔ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! طینۃ الخبال کیا ہے؟ فرمایا: جہنمیوں کا پسینہ یا جہنمیوں کا نچوڑ۔ (مسلم)
