Arabic (Original)
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تُقطعُ يدُ السَّارِقِ إِلاَّ بربُعِ دِينَار فَصَاعِدا»
English Translation
‘A’isha reported the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying, “A thief’s hand should be cut off only for a quarter of a dinar and upwards.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: چور کا ہاتھ نہ کاٹا جائے مگر چوتھائی دینار یا اس سے زیادہ میں۔ (بخاری و مسلم)
