Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْعَرْجِ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمَاءَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ مِنَ الْعَطَشِ أَوْ مِنَ الْحَرِّ. رَوَاهُ مَالك
English Translation
One of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)’s companions said he had seen the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in al-'Arj* pouring water over his head while he was fasting; either because of thirst or because of the heat. *A wadi in the neighbourhood of at-Ta’if. Malik and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ایک صحابی فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو عرج میں روزے کی حالت میں اپنے سر پر پانی ڈالتے دیکھا، یا تو پیاس کی وجہ سے یا گرمی کی وجہ سے۔ (مالک و ابو داؤد)
