وَعَن ابْن عَبَّاس رَضِي الله عَنْهُمَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ النَّاسِ مَنْزِلًا؟ قِيلَ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: الَّذِي يُسْأَلُ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِهِ ". رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked some people whether they would like him to tell them who was in the worst position, and when they replied that they would, he said, “The one who is asked for something in God’s name and does not give it in His name.” Ahmad transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لوگوں سے پوچھا: کیا تم چاہتے ہو میں تمہیں بتاؤں کہ سب سے بدتر کون ہے؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: وہ جس سے اللہ کے نام پر مانگا جائے اور وہ اللہ کے نام پر نہ دے۔ (احمد)
