993 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِرِجَالٍ مِنَّا فُضُولُ أَرَضِينَ، فَقَالُوا: نُؤَاجِرُهَا بِالثُّلثِ وَالرُّبُعِ وَالنِّصْفِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَو لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُمْسِكْ أَرْضَهُ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) appointed a man as governor of Khaybar, and he brought him excellent dates. The Messenger of Allah asked: "Are all the dates of Khaybar like this?" He said: "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah. We exchange one measure of these for two measures of the other, or two for three." The Messenger of Allah said: "Do not do that. Sell the inferior dates for dirhams, then buy the superior dates with the dirhams."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ہم میں سے بہت سے اصحاب کے پاس فالتو زمین بھی تھی، انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ تہائی یا چوتھائی یا نصف کی بٹائی پر ہم کیوں نہ اسے دے دیا کریں؟ اس پر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جس کے پاس زمین ہو تو اسے خود بونی چاہیے یا پھر کسی اپنے بھائی کو ہدیہ کر دینی چاہیے، اور اگر ایسا نہیں کر سکتا تو پھر زمین اپنے پاس ہی رکھے رہے۔“[اللؤلؤ والمرجان/كتاب البيوع/حدیث: 993]
